UK Charts No. 1's
Of The 1950's

The 1950's saw the introduction of the
UK Charts in November 1952, Al Martino made it to Number 1 with Here In My Heart
and stayed there for 9 weeks also becoming the first Christmas No.1 in December
1952.

The 1950's also saw greats like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin
and Frankie Laine making regular trips up the charts and a Music revolution with
the introduction of Rock & Roll with the likes of Bill Haley & His Comets, Buddy Holly & The Crickets, Jerry Lee Lewis, Everly Brothers, Connie Francis,
'The King' Elvis Presley and who could forget our very own Lonnie Donegan and
the new kids on the block....... Cliff Richard & The Shadows
